Research interests

I am a Senior Lecturer in Midwifery and the Canterbury Christ Church University Lead Midwife for Education. I am also currently undertaking a Doctorate in Education at CCCU. My thesis explores the professional identity, responsibilisation and emotional labour of the Lead Midwife for Education role.

My research interests also include midwifery curriculum and pedagogy, student wellbeing and professional development, and the emotional labour of female healthcare academics.
