    Research output: Contribution to conferencePaper

    Abstract

The substantive Criminal Law is the basic legal provision to tackle cybercrimes in China. This paper presents the evolution of the law in recent 15 years to adapt to the development of cybercrimes. Three related articles are introduced in the initial 1997 version. In 2009, the Chinese government amended the Criminal Law, which was the seventh amendment of the Criminal Law. More efforts since then have been paid to clear up the grey areas and reinforce the criminal law to fight cybercrimes.
