Abstract
We often use the term enchantment, but what does it really mean? This presentation considers how enchantment is produced by light festivals and installations. The research examines how light installation designers who specialise in reinventing myth and legend re-enchant historic sites through storytelling. Their techniques alter the perceptions of light attendees, making familiar locations sources of wonder.
