Abstract

Himlen Var was created with the assistance of Ems in Stockholm and was composed during 3 residency periods in the Ems studios between 2013 and 2015.

This piece explores the interior sound worlds of the Buchla and Serge modular synthesizers housed at Ems, in combination with the exterior sounds of Stockholm and the outer Stockholm Archipelago.
