Abstract
This presentation will focus on the importance and practicality of measuring psychological flexibility in ACT interventions, especially those that take place outside of the health care environment. It will begin by providing a brief overview of the initial development of psychological flexibility measures focusing on the proliferation of the Acceptance and Action Questionnaire (AAQ). Next it will focus on a measure of psychological flexibility developed specifically for work place settings: the Work-Related Acceptance and Action Questionnaire (WAAQ). Finally the paper will introduce preliminary data from an as yet unpublished measure that seeks to measure psychological flexibility in non clinical, community samples: the Everyday Psychological Inflexibility Checklist (EPIC).
