Mental health in the movies

    Research output: Contribution to conferencePaper

    Abstract

Our annual conference and AGM will explore answers to these questions within three themes. Within each theme we will hear brief talks from key figures and this will be followed by a discussion and debate between speakers and with the audience. We hope that this will make for a lively day that is a good mix of visionary ideas for 2025, discussion and debate and will help to set the course for the next ten years.

    The three themes are:

Theme 1:Clinical Psychology Career Development. In this theme we will hear about what clinical psychology training might look like in 2025 and we will explore some of the roles that clinical psychologists are likely to be performing in ten years’ time.

Theme 2: Lived Experience Involvement and Co-production. This theme will present a vision of lived experience involvement and co-production in 2025, building on work that is already happening nationally and in the region and looking forward to how this might evolve over the next ten years.

Theme 3: Diagnosis and Formulation. In this theme we will hear about the advantages and disadvantages of the diagnostic system, possible alternatives to diagnosis and how diagnosis and formulation within health services may look different in ten years’ time.
