POSTED increasing confidence in postural care

This workshop will describe the findings from a National Institute for Health Research, Research for Patient Benefit study that examined the effectiveness of a postural care education programme for teachers and parents of children with physical disabilities. During the workshop there will be opportunities to consider the practical implications of the study findings for occupational therapists who work with children with disabilities in schools, linking with recent NICE guidance and new Education Health and Care Plans . There will be opportunities for participants to explore some of the training techniques and approaches used so successfully in the study.
