Abstract
This powerpoint presentation was designed to accompany therapist-led workshops with parents and teaching staff. POSTED is a training programme designed to improve understanding, knowledge and confidence in parents, teachers and teaching assistants responsible for the postural care needs of children with physical disabilities at school. The powerpoint is one of a set of resources designed to support therapists working in schools with children with disabilities that include:
A general questionnaire designed to assess understanding, knowledge and confidence of carers in providing postural care for children with disabilities .
A train-the-trainer programme for occupational therapists and physiotherapists who facilitate the workshops.
An accompanying training manual.
The powerpoint was originally designed for use in research commissioned by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) under its Research for Patient Benefit (RfPB) Programme (grant reference number PB‐PG‐ 0110‐21045).
