Abstract
Within the renal nursing environment, good, safe infection prevention and control practice is essential for patient survival and the health of all others who access this environment. Paul Elliott sets out to describe the standard precautions to battle infection and reflect on the factors that may impact on renal staff impeding their ability to practise safely.
