Research Permission

Good afternoon Ian,

I am currently pursuing a course of studies leading to a MA in education by research from the University of Canterbury Christ Church. With that in mind, I now wish to seek the permission from Dorset Police to carry out action research into officers with dyslexia. I would be grateful for this permission and for your support. In this study. I am particularly interested in the experiences and perceptions of officers who are dyslexic, and my data collection methods may include the following; audio and face to face interviews.

I will seek the consent and written permission from the officers to be interviewed and I guarantee total confidentiality of information. I will only report information that I have permission to do so and I will not reveal anything of a personal or compromising nature. If I intend using information that is in any way sensitive I will seek the permission of the originator before using it.

There will also be total confidentiality of those involved in the research project.

It is anticipated that the research will be carried out between 2020 and 2021.
