Abstract
We know that outdoor learning has many benefits for children but why do so many educators lack confidence in supporting outdoor learning? How do educators develop more confidence? Dr Karen Vincent and Dr Marianna Papadopoulou, from Canterbury Christ Church University, wanted to find research-informed ways to empower nurseries to take more learning out of doors. In the first article in this new series they share more about their research and the impact it had.
