    Abstract

    A study of the reception of George Buchanan’s political writings in the Dutch Republic in the late sixteenth to mid-seventeenth century. The collection of essays will be the first to investigate Buchanan as an international author, and to take into account the considerably influence his writings had in the centuries after his death.
