Abstract
This presentation explores the integration of AI with Examopedia, a collaborative exam revision tool. It highlights lessons learned from working with AI and its impact on student learning and assessment. Examopedia, in use since 2007, has demonstrated benefits in student revision and understanding. The presentation discusses challenges and opportunities presented by open-book exams and generative AI. It concludes that AI tools can support independent learning and critical thinking in higher education. The work also reports the instance of Examopedia run at McGill University's Faculty of Engineering.
