Writing haunted landscapes

    Research output: Contribution to conferencePaper

    Abstract

A performance paper exploring the writing of haunted landscapes from the inside, including short readings from a creative work in progress.

This paper considers elements of craft and technique alongside literary, cultural and historical influences, and the use of psychogeographical techniques and ambulatory writing in this practice research. Discussion and readings from novel in progress, Appeased, centred on the charged site of a Roman ruin, with attention to the experimental use of polyphonic narrative voice to explore layers of buried trauma in a physical setting.
